KitchenAid 30-inch Slide-In Electric Range YKSEB900EWH

Bought this because a) we’d had a previous model and b) there’s not much selection in white appliances these days. Our previous model had a white cooktop and I though the black cooktop would be easier to keep clean. Sadly, the opposite is true. The cooktop needs scrubbing (with glass cooktop cleanser & scratch-free pad) after almost every use — from boiling vegetables to cooking a steak. Basically it always looks dirty no matter how much time I spend cleaning and polishing it. The oven works well enough (though it’s slow to heat up and cool down), but the cooktop is such a hassle to keep clean that I’m seriously contemplating replacing this with a coil-burner range. Those aren’t as pretty in the showroom, but they can be kept clean and shiny! I am by no means the world’s pickiest housekeeper, but I spend way too much time cleaning this cooktop. Perhaps it was made for people who like the look but who don’t actually cook?

We bought this back in December 2017, took getting used to because it was so different from our old stove. The baking drawer is a great feature. Wish it had a safety lock because we have a curious 2 year old grandson. Also nice is that the door of the oven barely gets warm. The tamper proof control knobs are also great.

Nothing but problems! Just like the matching fridge. Control panel had issues in the first 2 months. Plastic guard on oven door discoloured. Went completely yellow. Had it replace and nothing different. Uneven even heating on the elements. We were told we don’t have good pots...hmmm All Clad and Le Crueset not good enough. Our extended warranty is useless as it was purchased through Sears. Latest problem was another control panel issue. Good thing my husband is handy. Found out the fan needed to be replaced. 2 years old.just like the fridge love the look but we spend more time fixing than cooking.

I can not express enough how much I dislike this stove. With the exception of its looks, it is awful and I will detail....The oven takes FOREVER to heat up. The ultra sensitive touch controls in the front are ultra sensitive and I am constantly turning off the oven by leaning over the stove. Did it again today and I've had the stove almost 2 years now. The Aqua lift is ridiculous. I am spending between 2 and 4 hours to clean this oven the old fashioned way monthly as this aqua lift does not lift anything. I have cleaners who clean it every two weeks and It still builds up and has to have a good old fashioned sos cleaning pad take care it. The wide stainless front display holder is scratched and dinged from simple pot usage. There is no way to avoid not hitting it from time to time, so now it doesn't even have good looks anymore. I don't know who designed this stove but they have never cooked anything in their life. If it hadn't cost a ridiculous $3,000 I'd junk it but after that kind of investment, now I'm stuck with it for a few more years yet. I've lost my faith in Kitchenaid. (I have a Kitchenaid fridge, dishwasher, microwave)

we bought this to replace our older kitchenaid convection stove that we had for 18 yrs and that we liked. We like the look, the size of the oven, and the quietness of the convection oven. My wife tried her usually sponge cake and it sank and was heavy leading us to believe it is not as hot as our previous oven and will have to make adjustments to compensate for her overall baking. I tried the aqua clean and so far have no complaints as we just had to wipe it out after and it was really clean. Only had this stove for 2 months so still learning and adjusting. Also the cooktop seems to get dirty easily compared to our previous stove and doesn't appear as durable.
