KitchenAid 30-inch, 1.1 cu.ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with Whisper Quiet® Ventilation System YKMLS311HBS

This is probably the most expensive over the hood model microwave that KitchenAid offers so a flagship model if you will so for the price, you expect a flagship quality build. Buyer beware, if you are going to buy this microwave, the first thing you should do is memorise what the external button labels say because within a few months they will wear off completely and you will be guessing you're pressing the right button to achieve what you want. I cleaned this with nothing but a damp microfibre towel as per cleaning instructions and even with that the labels completely wore off! An otherwise beautiful microwave now will look tacky going forward. Reported this to KitchenAid who initially booked me an appointment. Then when i requested a different service company (as the one they assigned for my area had damaged my home on a previous service call), they said they will contact the resource department to arrange that. 5 days later i call back to get the status and not only did they not find an alternative service company, they cancelled my request (they consider it a cosmetic issue) and did not even notify me. They then asked me to send in pictures which i did. I receive an email (REF: [****]) to call them back to discuss and i could not even talk to someone about it. Customer Service agent put me on hold and came back with "supervisor said it's cosmetic". Poor service and they do not even stand behind their flagship product. This should not be considered cosmetic, knowing what each button does is required to make the microwave function correctly and can be a safety concern if people are guessing what each button does because they can no longer read it.
