Best Refrigerator for Storage

I’ve owned this refrigerator for about 3 months and every time I open it, I feel like I’m the luckiest women in the world! It is extremely sound and efficient and has so many well thought-out compartments for anything that needs refrigerated...even a sealed cylinder for herbs! The drawers are xtra large and it has sooo many more unique drawers for yogurt, limes, lemons, fruit, etc., and even has wood grain inside so you, too, can feel like you’re the luckiest woman in the world too!

Ok - now after it was replaced.

We bought all new Kitchenaid appliances. The fridge had to be replaced because the ice maker was not making ice properly but instead had a big clump of ice. The freezer drawer had frost on it. Had appliance folks out 6 times and finally gave up and got a new one. This new one is working ok but the ice (and we use it every day) still tends to clump on the bottom but we are living with it.

Great looking and very functional interior ...

But unreliable. Bought the refrigerator about 4 months ago mostly based on look, functionality and brand. We have been loyal Kitchenaid customers for over 20 years. Less than 2 months after, we noticed the food was spoiling very quickly and upon checking the temperature realized that it was over 50 degrees. After 2 service calls, Kitchenaid agreed to replace the unit with a brand new refrigerator. We have had the new unit for about a month and in the last couple days the inside temperature is AGAIN slowly creeping up, the controls is set for 35 degrees and the actual temperature reads 48 degrees ( verified with 2 different thermometers). Extremely disappointing for an appliance of this price. I will be contacting Kitchenaid to have this second unit repaired, the inconvenience and wasted food is piling up !

Elegant & Functional

Our 7 year old KitchenAid died from a freon leak, but I love the Whirlpool/KitchcenAid refrigerator design and the quiet condenser. It fits a 36 by 72 inch opening perfectly. The interior design is lots of fun to use and it holds an amazing amount of food and beverage. The ice making handled a party of six over Thanksgiving with ease. How long will it hold up? We will see.
