Whirlpool 30-inch Under-Cabinet Range Hood UXT5530AAS

i bought this unit about one year ago and just install it the unit has a broken fan. the factory state that you need to buy the fan with motor for $386.00 plus shipping and tax the unit only cost me $404.00 new.

I have had this hood for a few years now and couldn't be happier. Not only does it look great but it performs well. I see many complaints about the noise, I could not disagree more. Not only does this fan vent extremely well on the lowest setting (where it spends 90% of its time) it is almost silent! When you need the extra venting it's going to be noisier but it works and it works well. Compared to many other vent hoods I've seen that can do none of these things and are still louder trying to suck up 50 CFM. I will agree that our buttons are falling off too. As for the lights, all halogen lights will get extremely hot, replace with LED if this is a problem.

Terrible unit. Push buttons were sticky from day 1 and finally stopped working shortly after 1 year. Not impressed with customer service as they would not do anything for me In terms of repairing the unit. Looks brand new and now have to throw it to the curb. Test the buttons right out of the box.

We bought this about a year ago to replace the microwave that was over the new gas range we had just installed. It is fantastic to say the least. We could not use an outside vented hood and the competition's products were not pleasing to look at. I have a Jenn-aire Pro gas range and I wanted something that would look as professional as the stove does. This alternative packs a wallop in looks and performance for the price. The vents are on the side of the unit so when you are cooking it is not blowing the fumes back into your face, everything goes out the sides and away from the cook. I think they may have hidden an airplane motor in it somewhere because there is so much power behind it, thank goodness there are 3 speeds - you usually do not need the 3rd speed on this hood, 1 or 2 are high enough to get the job done quickly. The 2 halogen lights are very powerful, they light up the whole surface of your stove without any additional light needed around the stove. Power buttons are easily accessible and blend into the unit, not obtrusive. We purchased 3 Whirlpool products so far and will be looking for a new dishwasher very soon... we will definitely be looking for another whirlpool product as we have not been disappointed in the quality of the pieces we purchased.

I have used this hood for about 3 mo. and it is great. It moves enough air that I rarely use any speed other than low. Easy to clean very Quiet on every speed except High. Lights up my cook top almost too well. You will keep your cook top clean.
