Maytag 30-inch Freestanding Electric Range with Power™ Element YMET8800FZ

The upper oven heats quickly and it is great to have access to two ovens. We thought we would miss the drawer however have easily compensated for this.

Bought Maytag, used to have a good name. Sticker says Made in America. Repairman says inside, parts Made in China. Oven controls didn't last. New controls almost $300 with only a 90 day guarantee. I wouldn't wish the stove on anyone. All it has done is cause frustration.

Had a Gemini double oven for 15 years. Loved it and wanted it replaced with the same features. Many features that made it great have been removed. Upper oven used to be a toaster, which we used a lot. The new model no longer has number keys to set temp, timer, clock, etc. It has been replaced with +/- keys, not as user friendly. Also lost electrical outlet and two timers (one for each oven was handy). I am still a big fan of the double oven. We mostly use the small oven. Small oven preheats very quickly and has enough room for two muffin pans. This small oven is larger than my previous model and fits many of my casserole dishes with lids. Great oven for cooking dishes that require two different temperatures. This is a very attractive oven and appears to work well. I am just disappointed with what I would consider downgrading of some features that I used and have missed.

This is the best oven that I have ever owned. I love the double oven.

It works as expected. . The top oven is convenient for everyday use. . .and bottom oven when partying with friends. . The top electric hot plates works well too with several temperature options and cooking time variables. Very practical for home use. We loved it since then.
