I purchased this based on the fact that it would be easy to repair, since the main thing that seems to go wrong with them is only a door sensor. The over the range light is virtually useless, since it is at the very back of the microwave, and doesn't really light anything up. I had to MacGyver a bunch of my own LED lights underneath the microwave, so the cooking surface was lit enough to be usable. You definitely have to watch when using the stove to how hot the handle will become . My wife is already complaining that she nearly burned her hand several times. Our last over the range microwave was a Panasonic Genius, and at 1200 watts, compared to this 900 watts, it was a lot more powerful. It takes almost twice as long to cook anything in this new microwave. Kitchen Aid used to be a well-respected brand name, now it's just cheap Chinese junk like everything else!

Replaced old Kitchenaid

My kitchenaid microwave stopped working so I bought another one. I would have preferred the option of a black handle. I am slowly getting used to the ready sound - it’s kind of annoying.
