Too hard to clean!!! Shows buildup immediately

I bought 3 month ago and have liked the way the eyes cook but can not get it clean

Great cooktop

I have had my JennAir electric cooktop with downdraft for about two weeks. It replaced a late 1980’s JennAir cooktop. What an improvement. It looks great and I’ve enjoyed cooking on it. Keeping the cooktop clean and shiny takes a little time and effort. I’m using the products recommended by JennAir. It would be nice if a sample was provided with the cooktop. My family and I are still on the learning curve: getting used to the controls on the right instead of front; which control goes to which burner; matching pan size with burner size; and being careful of hot cooktop after burner is turned off. The fan does not seem to pull steam and odors quite as powerfully as my old cooktop, but it does a good job of controlling cooking odors and the variable speeds is really nice. I bought this make and model because I knew it would fit the existing countertop and ductwork, and it fit beautifully. I’m happy with my purchase.

Purchased less than 6 months ago and top is already scratched .. hard to keep clean. Not a good product for a family who cooks a lot
