Electrolux 30-inch Built-in Gas Cooktop ECCG3068AS

Nice cooktop, lights fast, good flame adjustability. The knobs are thick metal with a small plastic portion for the LED light to illuminate through. The LED light is more whitish than the blue color of some of the pictures. The burners are made by Saba, in Italy, and feature a cast aluminum body, with solid brass caps on all the burners. Four brass caps are painted/enameled black, while the center burner is matte brass. The cooktop unit is made in Thailand, and is of high quality materials and construction. The grates are heavy cast-iron, and well made. I suggest you plug it into a small surge suppressor to protect the small bit of electronics in the unit (ignitor, LED knob-lights). This cooktop seems very similar to the Dacor 5-burner and the 5-burner Samsung units....perhaps made by the same factory in Thailand. A cast iron flat griddle was included, a nice extra. I converted mine for propane use, easy except for some carefull fiddling to change the horizontal gas orifice of the center burner....a small space for fat fingers...you don't want to drop the orifice into the hole below. My only criticism is that some of the gas valves could turn a little smoother, perhaps they will with a little use.

The Electrolux gas cook top that we purchased is way above the others we looked at! The lighted knobs, ignition set up and all are better than the competition, in my opinion. Excellent product!

The stainless immediately scratched; doesn?t take much. The grates are part of the problem: if anything but the feet touches a surface, scratches occur. Also the griddle handles stick out so it?s incompatible with a downdraft fan. Lastly, so many small gaps in the knob design that trap grease and crumbs. I would not buy again.

Very pleased with the new cooktop. Easy to inbox and install and my family really enjoys the 5th burner. LED?s on the knobs are a nice touch.

Works great, very reliable and easy install. Love the heavy duty grates and the simmer feature on all burners. Lighted controls make it easy to notice when left on accidentally.
