28-inch Top-Freezer Refrigerator with Dairy Bin

I love our new refrigerator, my wife recently passed away, and I needed a new refrigerator, but nothing to big, for me and my daughter. This holds a lot and freezer, and fridge hold and keep my foods fresh, best refrigerator we have ever owned.

Everyone needs a fridge

My old GE was almost 29 years old. It came new when I bought my singlewide. There was only so much space available for a new fridge so I did my research at Consumer's Reports. The GE had glass shelves so that was just an accident waiting to happen. This Amana had an excellent reliability rating. Just keep it simple so there are fewer things that can go bad. So no ice maker and no water hookup needed either. I removed the little wire shelf on the left side in the freezer because I just wanted unencumbered room in the freezer. In the fridge itself there are three places in the back at the top where cold air descends. I quickly discovered that a container I placed right under the center one got frozen on top. It was only 3 inches away as I had it stacked on top of another container. So now I'm avoiding that area. I don't use the door shelves at all in either the freezer or in the fridge. I just have no more than 8 containers on the top shelf and 3 bags of oranges on the second and bottom shelf on top of the crisper drawer. I'm vegan so I don't need a lot of room in a fridge. All I keep in the freezer is a bag of spelt (like wheat) in the fridge along with a freezer bag of spelt that I've ground into flour. So my fridge/freezer needs are simple.
